What have I enjoyed the workshops this year; working with you from scales to Tchaikovsky; I have the most beautiful profession there is. Don’t miss the last workshop of the year. This cello workshop which I am organizing for the very first time is the Cello Christmas Extreme on Saturday December 14. A whole day of Christmas music: playing together at our house in Havelte, Drenthe with lunch and dinner.

Do you want to play with other cellists? And immerse yourself in Christmas spirit before Christmas is over? Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I start every day with a mug of hot chocolate, but as Christmas approaches, it gets extra tasty. The days are short, at home the new economical atmospheric lamps are burning, resin scent fills the house and stews are on the simmer pit. Think of the timeless Christmas CD ‘Christmas with Julie Andrews’, cloves, cinnamon, mulled wine and flammkuchen; hmmmm!

Come on 14 December to Havelte and celebrate with me the run-up to Christmas. I decorate our house with our daughter Apollonia. After the last day of class in Amsterdam this is the end of the year. The by now traditional present for all our students will move to Havelte.
From this year on.
We play Christmas music from 11.00 to 17.30. After that we go to the table. Focused on your level I will come up with the right repertoire. From English Christmas Carols to European Christmas, American Christmas (I’m dreaming of a white Christmas for four celli) to for advanced players difficult works like Le Cantique de Jean Racine by Fauré. From Quod Cello to We come together. If there are many subscribers, we will split up into several ensembles.
<"What are the dress codes?" asked participant Eli. Come as you are, but feel free to dress 'crisp', or to hang a Christmas ball on your cello curl. Participation in this day costs € 65.00 including coffee, tea and juices, lunch (prepared by my mother and Janny, known from the celloweekend), and soup before you leave. Would you like to bring a guest? He or she can decide what he or she wants to do. Walk, read a book, listen to our music. He or she is very welcome and joins in with everything. The contribution is € 15.00.
This day we have lunch together and at 17.30 we close with a soup, because Christmas also means having a nice dinner together. At 18.30 at the latest we will finish and hopefully you will sing carols to the car. After your registration you will receive the cello Christmas music worth over €100,-. On the growth perhaps because it’s not all that easy.
