Hallo all! In this clip I tell about an enrichment of my cello sound. More volume, more overtones, sound colors I didn’t have before. I feel that extra resonance in my fingers as well. I now get more out of my cello with the same energy. It is a treat for me; a gift I am very happy with, namely a super de luxe tailpiece from violin maker Frirsz from America. I asked him if I could sell this tailpiece: I don’t see it offered anywhere in Europe yet. He responded positively and enthusiastically. Here is the link to his page about this tailpiece. In the movie I tell you that I bought three of them; one for myself, meanwhile the second one has been sold to Addy and a third one is still available. Do you have a nice cello but want to see if you can get the most out of the sound, do you want to mute a wolf tone, and more volume and timbre? Then try this tailpiece. Not good money back says Frirsz; and so do I. Do you want the last one? Mail me. Then I’ll order some cello tailpieces from Frirsz if I’m interested.

Frirsz writes among others;

. ..Dynamically balanced to create harmonic overtones never before possible.

This tailpiece is designed to unleash the true potential of your instrument with our state-of-the-art design. Laboratory analysis shows that this tailpiece is actually capable of creating harmonics beyond the range of human hearing.

All our products are made from the finest Aerospace materials and are made and assembled in the USA and carry our 90-day money-back guarantee….

I endorse this; the overtones have increased so much that it feels like a next level.

2019 has started super for me because after a long time I gave myself a beautiful hyper modern tailpiece. It came over from America during the Christmas holidays and it is a cello tailpiece from Mr. Frirsz. He is a violin maker in America and this tailpiece I first saw in the Strad and then I saw it with Ruben. Ruben had brought it over from the States and I must say, I was excited about it. I could clearly hear it on his Atelier Robin, I set it up with him and that there was a big difference in sound, in volume, in timbre, the wolf tone was a bit less but still I thought, yes it’s a lot of money. Well, if I had known what I know now, I would have ordered it anyway. Because I was in a bit of a situation, I had no doubt, I don’t want another cello, but I did wonder, is this the maximum I can get out of a cello? Well maybe you’ve heard of it, that you could go to a violin maker for a check-up. Of course you have to have that done by a violin maker who knows about mittens, who knows about cello’s, and um… who can do that very well. Not everyone can do that. But then I thought, why don’t I try this tailpiece first? And I’m very happy with that, because while I was twisting my strings and picking them, I heard the difference. Much clearer sound. Not so much clearer but fuller. Richer in sound and indeed, I had a tiny wolf on the, that’s pretty much everyone, on the fourth position on the G-string. Well, it’s definitely less, I don’t usually hear it anymore. The best part is, it makes me happy again. I feel like grabbing my cello again. It inspires me. I don’t know if this happens with a camera in between and of course you don’t know what my cello sounded like. I do, I know my cello like the back of my hand.

And it’s a fact that in the past I used to feel my cello resonating here and here, and now it seems, that resonance, that leads that whole back page. Also here at this knee I feel it resonate much more clearly. It’s also nice when I play a scale or just a piece. Under my fingers it feels different. It tickles

Nou I have two tailpieces at the same time, because I always think a little bigger. If I’m happy with this, someone else is happy with this too. That’s how I started selling Musilia suitcases as well. And the new cello’s I once came across, I stuck with that because it made me happy. So that saves you shipping costs but especially the risk that customs will charge an import fee. Yes, that’s their right.

Do you want to try this tailpiece? I especially recommend it to people who already have a nice instrument and want just that little bit more. Who want to give a little more throttle, not so much in volume but in getting the most out of their cello. Is that you? Do you have that beautiful instrument and you just want to get a little more out of it? Then I absolutely recommend this tailpiece, and I don’t think it’ll come back to me. Yeah? So, I’ve got two more. 308 Euro, no shipping costs from America to Holland, I already paid it and if you want, we’ll put it on during class or during a break. That can all be arranged. Yeah? Well, if you’re interested, just let me know. And ask your questions by email or at class. Yes? Bye!

Greetings to Scarlett!
